Since most Notebook computers allow only ONE internal IDE hard disk, there is no space inside to place a second internal hard drive. On the other hand, most desktop allows multiple HDs to be installed at the same time. So the method below requires having access to a spare desktop as a cloning machine.

The method involves getting two 2.5" HD to 3.5" HD (CNV25to35) converter kits. This kit (which you can order from us) allows laptop HD (2.5" form factor) to be used as a desktop HD (3.5" form factor). You remove both source and target laptop HDs, fit them with the converter kit, put them in a desktop, and run the DiskPro/Upgrader to clone from one to another. Remove HDs from the converter kit, put them back to the laptop.
